Text reads: Sustain Our Work. Join our Community. Build grassroots power. Invest in disabled futures. Invest in our Power. Dec 2nd - January 16th. Images of various seats, including a wheelchair, around a bonfire.

This giving season, join us in building a fully-inclusive Detroit where disabled people have the power to create the futures we deserve.

OUR FIRST GIVING CAMPAIGN

For seven years, Detroit Disability Power has been building disabled political power on a modest budget. This is our first-ever individual giving campaign, and we're asking you to invest in something transformative: our collective, anti-ableist, liberated futures.

We don't need charity. We need investment in the power of disabled people to make decisions about how our time, resources, and lives are spent.

Imagine the force we can be with more resources.

BECOME A SUSTAINER

Your role as a Sustainer drives long-term transformation. Make a meaningful investment that works for your budget and doesn't put you or your family at risk. Whether you give monthly, annually, or one-time, your contribution sustains and nourishes our movement. Together, we're creating a Detroit where all its residents are valued, served, and empowered.

WHY INVEST IN DISABILITY JUSTICE?

When you invest in disability justice, you invest in yourself and everyone you love. Any of us can become disabled at any time through age, accident, or illness. Your investment creates the safety net of resources and community that we all deserve. It's time to correct the historic divestment in disabled communities as a political constituency in Detroit. Our money is our influence. Show the world what you're willing to put your resources behind.

MEET ADÉ ODIDURO

Adé joined DDP in 2025 as the Individual Giving Officer to help bridge the gaps in our budget using ethical and community-centric fundraising practices. As a disabled person who grew up in a family with disabled loved ones, Adé understands the revolving door of being both caretaker and the one needing care.
"I'm fueled by the dream of a world where all people have the access, knowledge, and power to create tangible and equitable care systems in their lives. That's exactly what DDP does."
