Exceptional Academy-Northville is hosting their second cohort this year. They are proving IT training to local people with disabilities that will result in globally recognized technology certifications (CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Associate) with a focus in cybersecurity.
The Exceptional Academy is a joint effort between the Living and Learning Enrichment Center (a nonprofit that helps teens and adults with autism and related challenges), Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS - Michigan's vocational office for people with disabilities), Michigan Career And Technical Institute (MCTI - one of the country's few and Michigan's only post-secondary school designed for people with disabilities), the Cisco Networking Academy, along with consulting support from Patrick Romzek (program designer and retired Cisco executive).
Please contact them at academy@livingandlearningcenter.org with any questions.
See flyer/FAQ which lists Information Sessions Exceptional Academy will be hosting throughout February and March.
