ID: Rainbow borders line the left and right sides of the image. In the top left corner, is a picture of Bridie smiling and standing in front of a brick wall wearing a grey-blue jacket and a colorful shirt underneath. The background is an image of colored pencils and overlaying black text that reads, "Intersectional Storytelling Series: Bridie Johnson. Wednesday, May 18th, 7 PM. Bridie Johnson, LMSW, ICAADC, QMHP, IBC, IFSD is Canadian Chippewa of the Garden River, First Nations, known to my people as Ketegaunzeebee. This is an Ojibwa band located at Garden River #14 near Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.

Their Spirit name is The "Drum Maker". This name came from a ceremony in which they were lucky enough to have earned this year. Bridie is the Social Justice Director at FairskyMI, a private practice with about 80 individuals that work hard toward therapeutic justice across the state of MI. Bridie has started to decolonize their practice modalities and has most recently started to learn their own language as well as other traditional practices in these efforts toward decolonization.

Bridie connects storytelling as an Indigenous way of narrative sharing through a more vulnerable lens. They hope to earn your time discussing the intersections of indigeneity and the 2-SLBGTQIA population and taking up space for their people to exist. "At first they thought they buried us but those were just the seeds."
